Search modes
In this area, you will find information on the different search functions available under DPMAregister.
You can use several search modes for searches within bibliographic data and legal status information. Furthermore, it is possible to display images of trade marks or designs returned by the search.

General information:
Searches for identical IP rights and complex similarity searches are offered by patent attorneys, lawyers specialising in "industrial property rights", specialist IP lawyers, search agents and Patent Information Centres. They can also provide access to commercial search databases for you.
The above mentioned attorneys will help you to interpret the search results and answer your questions about the likelihood of confusion. Address directories and links are available from the Chamber of Patent Attorneys or on the website of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, generally through Internet search engines or in business directories.
