The international classification for industrial designs under the Locarno Agreement is used to systematically categorise a wide range of different goods into certain classes and subclasses. This allows consistent categorisation of similar designs, i.e. similar designs are assigned to a specific class of goods.
Searches within a specific class of goods allow you to find designs of the same category.
