57AbstractABEin Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Verbrennungsmotors (1) mit einem Kraftstoffsystem (29), das einem Dosierventil (17) Kraftstoff unter einem gegebenen Druck (p↓0↓, p↓o↓', p↓1↓) zuführt, sieht vor, dass eine Steuerung (28) den Öffnungszeitpunkt (t↓1↓) und den Schließzeitpunkt (t↓2↓) des Dosierventils (17) festlegt und das Dosierventil (17) entsprechend ansteuert, so dass das Dosierventil (17) zu den festgelegten Zeitpunkten (t↓1↓, t↓2↓) öffnet und schließt. Um eine genaue Dosierung von Kraftstoff auch bei schnelllaufenden Verbrennungsmotoren zu ermöglichen, ist vorgesehen, dass die Steuerung (28) mindestens einen der Zeitpunkte (t↓1↓, t↓2↓) zum Öffnen bzw. Schließen des Dosierventils (17) unter Berücksichtigung des an der Austrittsöffnung (37) des Dosierventils (17) tatsächlich herrschenden Gegendrucks festlegt.
