Trade marks

  Here you can access individual issues of the Trade Mark Journal.

• Beginner's search

  The Beginner's mode allows to carry out basic searches within the most frequently used search fields by means of simple queries.

• Quick search

  The input screen of the quick search is designed to allow you to search the most frequently used search fields "Register number"/"File number", "Reproduction of the trade mark", "Applicant/Proprietor", "Goods/services".

• Monitoring

  This option is suitable for monitoring new trade mark registrations, which are displayed for the first time in DPMAregister. You can use the search criteria "Proprietor" or "Nice Classification" for monitoring.

• Expert search

  The Expert mode is recommended for users experienced in searches. This mode allows you to create more complex search queries.

• Assisted search

  Via the assisted mode you can forward requests to pros at the German Patent Information Centres. You will receive the answer by e-mail/surface mail/fax.

• DPMAkurier

  The free DPMAkurier service is suitable for automated monitoring of IP rights. Furthermore, you can get the complete issue or individual parts of Markenblatt (Trade Mark Journal) sent to you, free of charge, at each publication date. You will be notified by e-mail.

Classifications

• View the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks under the Nice Agreement (Nice Classification)

  All goods and services are classified in 45 classes. You can search by these classes.

• View the International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks under the Vienna Agreement (Vienna Classification, PDF-format)

  The figurative elements of trade marks are categorised under the Vienna Classification. You can search by these classes.
