57AbstractABDie Abgase der Zylinder werden einer Nachbrennkammer und anschließend der Abgasturbine des Turboladers zugeführt. Im Schubbetrieb wird die Zündung der Zylinder abgeschaltet und die Ladeluft in die Nachbrennkammer eingeleitet. Das unverbrannte Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemisch der Zylinder wird in der Nachbrennkammer unter Zusatz von Ladeluft verbrannt und bringt den Turbolader auf volle Leistung.
