57	Abstract	AB	Thus there is provided a method and appropriately arranged devices for gaining trust in a server in a network by a client, the network comprising a server. The method comprises acquiring, by the client, a certificate of the bootstrapping server and checking whether a root certificate of a certificate chain to which the certificate belongs, or the certificate itself if it is a self-signed certificate, is in a store of trusted certificates. If the root certificate, or the certificate itself if it is a self-signed certificate, is not in the trusted store, there is checking whether the boostrapping server is local to the network, and if the server is local to the network, adding the root certificate, or the certificate itself if it is a self-signed certificate, to the store.
