57AbstractABDisclosed is a method for preparing a reduced titanium powder by multi-stage deep reduction, belonging to the technical field of milling. The method comprises: a dried titanium dioxide powder and a magnesium powder are uniformly mixed, and are added to a self-propagating reaction furnace to initiate a self-propagating reaction, in order to obtain an intermediate product with the low-valent titanium oxide TixO dispersed in the MgO matrix; and the intermediate product is subjected to leaching with hydrochloric acid as a leaching solution, and is then filtered, washed, and vacuum-dried to obtain a low-valent titanium oxide TixO precursor; the low-valent titanium oxide TixO precursor is uniformly mixed with a calcium powder, is pressed and placed in a vacuum reduction furnace, and is subjected to secondary deep reduction; and the deep reduction products are leached with hydrochloric acid as a leaching solution to obtain a reduced titanium powder. The method has the advantages of low raw material costs, a simple operation, low requirements for process conditions and instruments and equipment, and lays the foundation for industrial production thereof, and the resulting reduced titanium powder has the advantages of a high purity, a fine particle size, a controllable particle size distribution, and a high powder activity and the like.
