DPMAregister
Since 28 April, you have been able to access DPMAregister here. DPMAregister is the new web service of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. It combines the functions of the previous DPINFO and DPMApublikationen databases. The service is specifically suitable for carrying out searches for IP applications, registered and granted IP rights, for gaining information on the current legal status and for the regular and systematic monitoring of newly published IP rights. As a special service, you can use DPMAkurier for monitoring searches within DPMAregister.
DPMAregister is being implemented in stages, by type of IP, and is initially available for trade marks and indications of geographical origin. Designs and patents/utility models/ topographies will follow by the end of 2009 and in the course of 2010, respectively. The old 'DPINFO' and 'DPMApublikationen' services will be shut down individually, for each type of IP.
