Since 22 February you can perform searches on designs in DPMAregister in addition to searches on trade marks and on indications of geographical origin.

This DPMA webservice combines the functions of the previous DPINFO and DPMApublikationen databases. In the next step, the patents/utility model/topographies area will also be integrated in 2010.


DPMAregister is particularly suitable for

  • searches for new IP applications and registered and granted IP rights
  • information on the current legal status of an IP right
  • regular and systematic analysis of newly published IP rights
  • IP monitoring using DPMAkurier

Information

DPMAregister is being implemented in stages, by type of IP, and is now available for trade marks, indications of geographical origin and designs. Patents / utility models / topographies will follow in the second half of this year. The old 'DPINFO' and 'DPMApublikationen' services will be shut down individually, for each type of IP.
